Fiber Infrastructure
Fiber infrastructure is more than a cable choice. A reliable link depends on the route, fibre type, connector interface and the equipment at each end. S-Optics helps teams specify the optical components that fit an existing installation or a new deployment.
Plan the physical link
Start with the endpoints and distance, then confirm whether the route uses single-mode or multimode fibre. Record the connector type and polish at each termination, the required lead length and any existing patch panels or cassettes. For structured cabling, confirm the fibre count, polarity and breakout requirements before ordering MPO/MTP assemblies.
Common requirements
- Patch leads in the correct fibre mode, connector combination and length.
- Transceivers selected for the link speed, reach and equipment compatibility.
- MPO/MTP jumpers, trunks or breakouts specified by fibre count and polarity.
- Spare leads and optics for maintenance and phased rollouts.
For a standard item, browse the product catalogue. For a non-standard length or connector combination, use the custom patch lead request. If the route or interface is uncertain, ask technical support to review the specification before ordering.
